10 female entrepreneurs to watch in 2017

At the start of a new year it's natural to think about what may lie ahead and the opportunities that may present themselves. Every year we're seeing new innovations, startups and emerging business leaders, and 2017 looks set to be no different.

In particular, 2017 could see the rise of a number of up and coming female entrepreneurs in business and technology. Our latest infographic takes a look at ten female entrepreneurs to watch over the coming year, including Stephanie Lampkin, creator of Blendoor, an app to help diversify the hiring process in Silicon Valley, and Leila Janah whose social enterprise startups look to find work for those in need.

The women on our list are also often champions of other women and minority groups in business, using their positions to help open up opportunities to those who may not always get them. While we think this will be the year we see more of this group of women, many of them have been in business for several years, with two even being named Champion of Change by the White House during their careers to date.

How many of these female entrepreneurs have you heard of before? Which other female entrepreneurs do you think will go from strength to strength in 2017?
