Colonial Life's Will Greene wins national recognition

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Feb. 9, 2017) — Will Greene has been named by Employee Benefit Adviser magazine to its list of 20 Rising Stars in Advising for 2017.

EBA, a leading national benefits industry publication, annually recognizes an elite group of benefit advisers under age 35 who are making a difference in the industry.

“They’ve come of age as advisors under Obamacare. As a result, they are nimble, quick-thinking, open to change and see opportunity over adversity,” the magazine’s website reported in announcing the awards.

Greene, a Colonial Life district general agent based in Charleston, South Carolina, has led his team to sales growth of more than 200 percent since 2014, with 10 consecutive quarters of double-digit growth. In just six years in the industry, he has built his book of worksite business to $1.5 million, including more than $30 million in core benefits his team enrolled for broker partners in the last two years. Greene was named winner of Colonial Life’s Small Office of the Year award for 2016.

“We take a unique approach to benefits where we blend technology with the human element,” Greene said. “In a time where everything is going toward automation, our team believes benefits need to maintain a personal connection. We’ve helped our broker partners increase participation across their book of business and helped employers maintain an important connection between their employees and the benefits offered.”

EBA will recognize its 2017 Rising Stars at the Workplace Benefits Renaissance conference in New Orleans in March.
