Colonial Life names two executives to new roles

Arnold and Bambacus named to new executive positions

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Sept. 19, 2012) — Tim Arnold has been named senior vice president, sales and marketing for Colonial Life. In his new role, Arnold is responsible for all areas of the company related to sales and marketing, including sales management, compensation, recruiting, training, product development, research, broker marketing, and public sector marketing. He served as the company’s chief operations officer for the past year after joining Colonial Life from affiliate company Unum US in Chattanooga. During his 25-year career with Unum, Arnold has held various leadership positions in the company’s Chattanooga, Tenn.; Worcester, Mass.; and Portland, Maine, offices.

Linda Bambacus has been named vice president, service operations. Bambacus joined Colonial Life as a vice president in 2011 with responsibility for helping Unum maintain competitive enrollment systems across its business affiliates. Her new role includes expanded responsibility for Colonial Life’s customer service areas. Bambacus previously worked as a consultant for the Robert E. Nolan Company, Inc. and held various management and executive positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Virginia for nearly 20 years.
