Funding Priorities

Colonial Life encourages and supports collaboration among our community partners. We value nonprofit organizations that have sustainable programs and events, serve a targeted population in need and can provide measurable program and event results. Our Corporate Social Responsibility program focuses on local organizations benefiting counties surrounding our corporate headquarters in Columbia, S.C. and within our state.

Education Strategy
Create unique partnerships with local nonprofits, education partners (K-12 and higher educational institutions) and public policy leaders to cultivate Workforce Development and contribute to Youth Empowerment and Character Education.

Health and Wellness Strategy
Collaborate with specific local nonprofits to provide access to healthcare for the uninsured and underinsured, help ensure that major medical facilities can offer premier services, address local homelessness issues and related mental health and substance abuse issues, and help meet immediate needs in the areas of food, shelter, safety and transportation.

Arts and Culture
Invest in premier arts and culture experiences with local nonprofits to cultivate artistic development, audience development and arts education outreach opportunities.

Economic Development
Invest in the local infrastructure to enhance ability of Columbia, South Carolina to attract businesses and recruit, retain and develop future workforce.
