President and CEO, Colonial Life
Tim Arnold is president and chief executive officer of Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company.
Arnold previously served as the company’s senior vice president of sales and marketing from August 2012 to July 2014. Prior to that, he served as the chief operations officer from July 2011 to August 2011. Arnold joined Colonial Life in July 2011 following a 27- year career with Unum where he held leadership positions in underwriting, corporate planning, client services, national accounts sales and benefits, including leadership roles in the Chattanooga, Tenn.; Worcester, Mass.; and Portland, Maine, offices.
Arnold is the 2016 chair of the board of directors of the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families, after serving as the board’s treasurer and finance committee chair. He also is on the board of directors of United Way of the Midlands, Midlands Business Leadership Group, Palmetto Business Forum, American Heart Association 2017 Heart Walk and Transitions shelter for the homeless.
Arnold earned a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s in business administration degree in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He holds the professional designations of Associate, Life and Health Claims (ALHC) and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).
